As a Georgia wedding planner, one of the greatest privileges of my job is bringing a couple's vision to life in a way that feels effortless, intentional, and uniquely theirs. Jaylin and Madison's wedding on St. Simons Island was the perfect example of that—a celebration that was elevated, timeless, and centered on what mattered most: their love and the people closest to them.

A Beautiful Beginning on A Timeless St. Simons Island Wedding at Epworth by the Sea & Sea Palms Resort

Nestled beneath the moss-draped oaks of Epworth by the Sea, Jaylin and Madison exchanged vows in the charming Lovely Lane Chapel. The warm sunshine and coastal breeze created the perfect backdrop for an intimate ceremony that reflected who they are as a couple.

Rather than planning a large wedding party, they intentionally kept the focus on their commitment to one another. One of the most meaningful moments of the day was having Jaylin's father serve as their officiant, making the ceremony even more personal and memorable.

Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to create a wedding that felt classic without sacrificing personality.

Thoughtful Details That Told Their Story

One of my favorite parts of wedding planning is helping couples incorporate meaningful details into their celebration, and Jaylin and Madison did this beautifully.

Their beloved dog, Nova, was included as part of the day, adding another layer of joy and personality. Since Jaylin plays for the Green Bay Packers, the couple also surprised guests with fun cheesehead props during the reception—a lighthearted touch that had everyone smiling and made for unforgettable photos.

There were also subtle personal details woven throughout the day. Jaylin had their wedding date embroidered on the cuff of his dress shirt—a keepsake he'll always carry with him. Later in the evening, Madison surprised everyone with a fun outfit change and made a second grand entrance into the reception, bringing fresh energy to an already unforgettable celebration.

These thoughtful touches reminded everyone that while weddings can be elegant and refined, they're also about celebrating the unique story that brought two people together.

Bringing Madison's Vision to Life

From our very first conversations, Madison had a clear vision for how she wanted her wedding to feel: timeless, romantic, and effortlessly elegant.

The color palette of soft greens, ivory, and delicate lace complemented the natural beauty of St. Simons Island perfectly. Every design choice worked together to create an atmosphere that felt fresh, sophisticated, and welcoming.

The reception was filled with carefully curated details that elevated the overall experience. Guests dined beneath a beautiful sailcloth tent that perfectly complemented the coastal setting, creating an open, airy space for dinner and dancing. Green tassel place cards added a unique, playful touch to each place setting while tying seamlessly into the overall color palette. Every element felt intentional, layered, and beautifully cohesive.

As their Georgia wedding planner, one of my favorite roles was helping transform Madison's vision into a reality. From sourcing the perfect rentals to refining the overall design, we thoughtfully selected each piece to ensure every detail worked together. Watching the finished space come to life—and seeing Madison's excitement when she saw it for the first time—was one of my favorite moments of the entire day.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered at Sea Palms Resort for an evening of celebration.

The reception blended timeless elegance with relaxed coastal charm, creating an environment where guests could truly enjoy every moment. From heartfelt toasts and packed dance floors to Madison's surprise second entrance in her reception dress, the evening reflected exactly what the couple had hoped for—a wedding that felt joyful, meaningful, and completely authentic to them.

One of the things I love most about weddings on St. Simons Island is how naturally the setting enhances every celebration. Between the coastal scenery, mature oak trees, and welcoming atmosphere, it's easy to understand why so many couples choose this area for their wedding weekend.

A Wedding Designed Around What Matters Most

Every couple's priorities are different, and Jaylin and Madison never lost sight of theirs. They chose intimacy over extravagance, meaningful moments over unnecessary traditions, and a design that reflected their personalities instead of following trends.
